A search for a baby, reportedly seen floating in a Marabella river, was called off around midnight, with no body found.
Vallance Rambharat of the Hunters Search and Rescue Team told 103.1FM News, police and search teams responded on Wednesday evening after a woman reported that her two children spotted what appeared to be a newborn baby in a river near Union Park, Marabella, at around 5 p.m.
Officers searched the area and made inquiries with nearby residents, including efforts to review CCTV footage. Police say the report is still being verified.
