An anonymous threat against family members of Police Commissioner Allister Guevarro is under investigation.
The T&T Express reported that a caller to the E999 emergency service threatened the Commissioner’s two daughters if they could not reach him.
The Cyber Crime Unit is assisting with efforts to trace the caller.
According to the report, a senior police official said the Police Service will not be intimidated and will pursue the matter under the full extent of the law.
Homeland Security Minister Roger Alexander has acknowledged the threats, saying the Commissioner has the full support of the authorities to address the matter.
He also confirmed that separate alleged threats against Public Utilities Minister Barry Padarath are being investigated.
