Khavir Manbode of Presentation College, Chaguanas, has been selected to participate in the 2026 National Youth Science Camp.
This will take place from July 11th to August 1st, in the US state of West Virginia.
The announcement was made today by the US Embassy, in collaboration with NIHERST.
Sponsored by the U.S. State Department and implemented by the National Youth Science Academy, the NYSCamp is a prestigious three-week residential science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) program.
It provides exceptional high school students with the opportunity to engage with leading STEM professionals, explore emerging fields, and participate in hands-on scientific and outdoor learning experiences.
Khavir Manbode is a Lower 6 student and National Youth Ambassador who has earned national recognition for his contributions to STEM and youth leadership.
He is actively involved in his school’s Interact Club, Debate Society, and Environmental Club.
He also served as valedictorian of the Form 5 Class of 2025 and holds distinctions in the International Mathematics Olympiad.
