The TTPS says no authorization has been given for a planned demonstration outside the office of the DPP today, in support of Kaia Sealy, under current State of Emergency regulations.
In a statement, police say officers will be deployed to prevent any unlawful assembly and warned participants could face legal consequences.
Meanwhile, organiser of the demonstration Alyssa Phillip says the action will continue as planned, and described the police statement as “nothing but intimidation tactics at work”.
She has maintained that proper notice was given for the demonstration, which she described as a “peaceful standstill protest”.
