An estimated $117,440 worth of cannabis has been seized in Gasparillo.
During an exercise on Monday dubbed Operation Tripod, officers went to an abandoned two-storey house located off Mayo Road.
They detected a strong odour consistent with marijuana and soon found a sophisticated indoor cannabis cultivation operation.
According to the TTPS, there was a room equipped with LED grow lights, a drying tent and numerous cannabis plants at various stages of growth.
The officers seized:
• 30 adult cannabis trees
• 31 medium-sized cannabis trees
• 46 juvenile cannabis trees
• 38 cannabis seedlings
• Two grow bags containing small cannabis plants
• Two crocus bags containing dried cannabis plants
• Five sealed zip-lock bags containing processed marijuana
They also seized cultivation equipment and fertilizers.
