The TTPS says it is investigating a police-involved shooting in Victoria Village, San Fernando, which left one man dead and another critically injured.
Officers responded to a wounding report around 1 a.m. Sunday and found Quesi Alfred suffering from a head wound.
Police say while following up nearby, Jogie approached officers armed with a cutlass and hammer, prompting them to fire one shot.
Relatives dispute that account, calling the shooting unjust and demanding a full investigation into the officers’ actions.
