Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar has returned to Trinidad and Tobago, after travelling to New York over the weekend, to attend the funeral of her brother-in-law.
Mrs Persad-Bissessar was welcomed at Piarco International Airport last night, by several Government ministers.
While she was abroad, the duties of acting Prime Minister were carried out by Works Minister Jearlean John.
In a message posted on social media today, the Prime Minister expressed gratitude for the outpouring of condolences, prayers and support.
