Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar is in St Lucia, for the 51st Regular Meeting of the CARICOM Conference of Heads of Government.
The summit, themed “From Resilience to Renewal, in a Changing World,” is expected to focus on several regional issues, including the reappointment of the CARICOM Secretary-General.
The Prime Minister is expected to take part in the main discussions.
She has been accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs Sean Sobers, and Ministers in the Office of the Prime Minister Nicholas Morris and Darrell Allahar.
During the Prime Minister’s absence, Works Minister Jearlean John is serving as Acting Prime Minister.
