Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar has announced that US energy company, Occidental Petroleum, has acquired a stake in T&T’s Ultra Deepwater Block One.
Speaking in Parliament this afternoon, the Prime Minister shared details of the deal, noting its collaboration with ExxonMobil.
Mrs Persad-Bissessar said Occidental’s entry into this block signals a renewed confidence in Trinidad and Tobago’s energy industry.
