Both the Senate and the House of Representatives will resume at 1:30PM today, marking the start of the second session of the 13th Parliament, following prorogation on May 22nd.
In the House of Representatives, Government business includes the second reading of a bill, to amend the Elections and Boundaries Commission, Local Government and Tobago House of Assembly Act, to be piloted by the Attorney General.
Meanwhile, in the Senate, debate is expected on amendments to the Maternity Protection Act, as well as a major shipping bill aimed at modernising maritime laws, vessel and seafarer certification, and safety regulations.
The measures will be led by the Ministers of Labour and Transport respectively.
