Pakistan is calling for calm following fresh tensions in the Gulf region.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif says Pakistan strongly condemns last night’s missile and drone attacks on civilian infrastructure in the United Arab Emirates, where an oil port was reportedly struck.

Sharif urged that the ceasefire be upheld and respected, stressing the need for diplomatic space to achieve lasting peace and stability.

Meanwhile, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari says both sides must avoid escalation and continue diplomatic engagement.

He says ongoing attacks are complicating efforts, though Pakistan continues to exchange messages and build confidence between parties.
