Opposition Leader Pennelope Beckles has accused the Prime Minister of attempting to reintroduce elements from the former Zones of Special Operations policy.
Last evening, the Prime Minister said there will be 30 such posts, following requests from communities for an increased security presence.
Responding to that announcement, Ms Beckles is calling to clarification on how the locations were selected, whether Defence Force personnel will be granted police powers, and how the initiative will be financed.
The Opposition Leader also insists that the establishment of such posts would not replace the need for a comprehensive national crime plan.
