A Tropical Depression is expected to form in the tropical Atlantic during the next day or so, however this is likely to be short-lived.
According to the National Hurricane Centre, a system of showers and thunderstorms associated with a tropical wave is currently located about 1000 miles east of the Lesser Antilles.
While development continues right now, by late Friday it is expected to move into a region of strong upper-level winds and dry air, which should end further progression.
Regardless of development, parts of the Lesser Antilles are likely to experience gusty winds and heavy showers Friday night and Saturday.
Further to the east, another tropical wave is continuing its movement to the west, producing disorganized showers and thunderstorms.
The NHC says a tropical depression could form late this week or weekend.
At this time, there are no watches or warnings in place for T&T.
