Pre-Budget consultations are underway ahead of the 2026–2027 National Budget, with the first being held by Finance Minister Dave Tancoo in his Fyzabad constituency.
Minister Tancoo told 103.1FM News that all Government MPs are expected to conduct similar sessions in their respective constituencies, to hear citizens’ concerns, ideas and recommendations.
He also confirmed plans for a joint consultation with Minister Clyde Elder, MP for La Brea, given their neighbouring constituencies.
Meanwhile, Opposition Chief Whip Marvin Gonzales told 103.1FM News that the party’s position will be discussed when it caucuses ahead of the next sitting of Parliament.
