From 10am tomorrow (May 22nd), a new Pelican Crossing traffic signal will be operational along the Southern Main Road, Marabella, in the vicinity of TECU Credit Union.
The Transport Ministry says this is part of its ongoing road safety initiatives to improve pedestrian safety, strengthen driver awareness and promote safer movement for all road users.
This initiative was delivered through a collaborative effort between the Ministry and TECU Credit Union.
Motorists are advised to exercise caution when approaching the area, obey all traffic signs, signals and road markings, and stop when necessary to allow pedestrians to cross safely.
Pedestrians are also encouraged to use the crossing responsibly, follow the appropriate signals, and stay alert while crossing the road.
