NATUC is calling on the Government to urgently investigate employment and governance practices at Angostura Limited.

In a statement, the Union said the Government, as the majority shareholder, has a responsibility to ensure transparency, accountability and fair treatment of workers at the company.

It is particularly concerned about employees who have performed higher-level duties for years without permanent appointments, while external executives continue to be recruited.

NATUC is urging management to recognise the experience and competence of existing workers and provide them with equal opportunities for advancement.

It says it will not remain silent if workers’ rights and dignity continue to be undermined.
