Multiple drones and packages seized as prisons tighten security

Several security operations have led to the interception of drones and contraband items at correctional facilities across Trinidad and Tobago.

According to figures released by the Ministry of Homeland Security, 11 drones, 57 drone-delivered packages, and 59 throw-over packages have been intercepted by the Prison Service.

41 operational searches were also conducted as part of ongoing security exercises.

The Ministry says the measures are aimed at strengthening prison security, protecting officers, and reducing contraband activity within the correctional system.
