More contraband was seized at the Maximum Security Prison as efforts continue to end the entry of such items into the nation’s jails.
Between 5:30pm and 7:30pm on Monday, a targeted search was conducted in Divisions Q and H at the facility in Golden Grove.
Officers found and confiscated:
• 20 cigarettes
• 33 grams of a white powder resembling cocaine
• One improvised weapon
• Three cellphones
• $720 in cash
• 725 grams of plant-like material resembling marijuana
Investigations are continuing and two inmates are expected to be charged.
