A Yellow Level Hot Spell Alert has been issued for Trinidad and Tobago, with effect from 2PM tomorrow until 4PM on October 31st.
The Met Service says daytime temperatures could reach 34°C n Trinidad and 33°C in Tobago, with feels-like temperatures up to 44°C, particularly in urban areas.
The hottest period is expected between 10AM and 4PM.
According to the Met Service, reduced cloud cover and rainfall are expected to contribute to the heat, and although some showers are possible, they are unlikely to provide a lasting break from the hot conditions.
People more vulnerable to the heat, including older adults, young children and outdoor workers, are advised to stay hydrated and avoid prolonged exposure to the heat.
