The Ministry of Trade, Investment and Tourism has reportedly begun a Vendor Regularisation Exercise targeting beach chair, umbrella and tent operators at Maracas.

According to a TTT report, this is being carried out in collaboration with the Lifeguard Services Division, the TTPS and UDeCOTT, and is expected to run until October 2026.

The initiative aims to verify beach-chair, umbrella and tent vendors and their equipment, ensuring compliance with applicable requirements and formalising approved operations.

An on-site verification exercise scheduled for tomorrow, to confirm vendor information and identify the equipment tied to each operation.

The initiative will also reportedly include the submission of formal online applications for vending licences from August 7th – 13th.

Vendors whose applications are successful will then be invited to execute licence agreements and will receive the relevant permits and operating guidelines.
