Local Government Minister Khadijah Ameen says no major incidents have been reported, following heavy rains over the Corpus Christi holiday.
However she has reassured that authorities will continue monitoring conditions.
She told 103.1FM News today that ongoing mitigation works are expected to help reduce flooding risks across the country.
Minister Ameen added that in readiness for this year’s rainy season, several ongoing disaster preparedness efforts are underway, including shelter readiness and volunteer training.
