Mason in court for murder, firearm offences

A 27-year-old mason has appeared in court charged with murder.

It stems from an incident on December 4th 2025, where two armed men opened fire on 25-year-old Shakeem Breedy and a woman in Central Trinidad.

The woman was wounded, however Breedy died while undergoing treatment at the Chaguanas Health Facility.

In addition to murder, Malcolm Quintin was also charged with Shooting with Intent, Possession of Firearm and Possession of Ammunition.

He appeared in court yesterday, with Master Rhea Liebert setting a Status Hearing on September 18th, 2026 and a Sufficiency Hearing for April 9th, 2027.
