A man was arrested in Moruga after he was allegedly found committing sacrilege in a church.
On September 26th, the church was secured and locked, with the exception of one entrance on the eastern side of the building.
Around 10:30pm, a church official returned to the building and found several items, including an industrial fan, curtains, communion glasses, an electric guitar, decorative flowers and a large bottle of water, strewn across the churchyard.
These were collectively valued at about $4,386.
A report was made and officers responding to the scene allegedly found a man from Marac Village rummaging through bags in a room behind the altar.
He was immediately arrested.
