Caribbean Airlines passengers booked to travel from Orlando to Trinidad on August 2nd, have reportedly been stranded for two days due to problems with the aircraft.
Distressed passengers told 103.1FM that the group, which included elderly travellers and families with babies, spent several hours at the airport and time aboard the aircraft before being informed that the flight had been postponed to the following day.
When they returned to the airport on Monday, they reportedly faced several more delays and spent hours waiting without any clear explanation as to what was happening.
The flight was eventually cancelled for a second time, and passengers were instructed to return to the airport today.
Several have requested refunds, however others say they need to return to Trinidad urgently and are unable to purchase alternative tickets because of credit card spending limits.
Up to news time (12PM), the airline had not issued a public statement on the matter, and one passenger said they received no official communication regarding the flight until today.
103.1FM News has also reached out directly to CAL for a comment and are awaiting a response.
