Jamaica Empress will contest the 2026 Women’s Caribbean Premier League.
The franchise joins Barbados Tridents, Guyana Amazon Warriors and Trinbago Knight Riders, which have competed in WCPL since its inception in 2022.
The debut of the newly created Jamaica Empress come after their counterparts, Jamaica Kingmen, compete in this year’s CPL.
WCPL matches are due to begin on September 5th, with the final due to take place on September 17th.
The tournament will take place entirely in Barbados, at the Kensington Oval.
A new WCPL logo has also been launched.

In a statement, the event’s organizers say, “At the heart of the new WCPL is a commitment to putting Caribbean women centre stage, inspiring the next generation of female athletes by showing them that there is a place waiting for them at the highest level of sport.”
“The tournament’s refreshed identity is built around three core values: empowerment, the will to win and close community. These themes are captured in the league’s new creative platform, “She’s In”, which will be promoted through a dedicated advertising campaign across female-focused social media channels throughout the region,” it adds.
