Jacqueline Wilson has been appointed a Member and Chairman of the Elections and Boundaries Commission.
Instruments of appointment were presented today by President Christine Kangaloo.
According to the Office of the President, Ms Wilson’s career in public service saw her help establish the first Ministry of Public Administration and Information.
She served as the first Secretary to the Police Complaints Authority and contributed to the organizational redesign of the Environmental Management Authority.
She later helped to set up the Ministry of Digital Transformation, guiding its institutional development, and then served as Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Public Administration from 2002 to 2006.
From 2007, Ms Wilson was at the Commonwealth Secretariat in London where she supported public sector development, and then, from 2010 until her retirement, she acted as Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Local Government.
Since retiring, she has continued to provide high-level strategic advisory support to governments, ministries, statutory authorities, and regional institutions.
