Drier conditions could threaten Tobago’s water supply

THA Chief Secretary Farley Augustine has met with officials to assess Tobago’s preparedness for potential water shortages amid El Niño conditions.

In a short social media clip, Mr Augustine said the Tobago House of Assembly is preparing for hotter temperatures and below-normal rainfall.

He also reiterated the Met Service’s forecast for below-normal rainfall in Tobago from June to November.

The Chief Secretary added that these conditions are expected to pose significant challenges for Tobago’s water supply.
