Efforts are continuing to strengthen security at San Juan North Secondary, after a teacher was robbed on the compound.
The TTPS says there is a strong multi-agency response involving itself, the Education Ministry, Homeland Security Ministry and other agencies.
Assessments have been conducted at the school with identified measures such and improved lighting, repairs to perimeter fencing, CCTV cameras and clearing overgrown areas.
Further discussions with stakeholders today focused on improving the school’s physical security systems and ensuring a safe environment for students and staff.
The teacher has since accepted support from the TTPS’ Victim and Witness Support Unit.
