Investigations are continuing into the possible disappearance of three guns assigned to the Port of Spain City Police.
According to TTPS Communications Manager, Joanne Archie, the pistols and a quantity of ammunition were lodged at the Central Police Station on the afternoon of August 10th.
Early on August 11th, they could not be accounted for.
Ms Archie told today’s TTPS briefing that investigations were continuing, with the possibility remaining that it could have been an administrative error.
She adds that if a crime is determined to have been committed, action will be taken against those found to be responsible.
