Police Commissioner Allister Guevarro says criminals who invade homes and confront police will face “the full weight of the TTPS.”
The Top Cop’s warning follows a police-involved shooting as officers responded to a report of a “man on premises”, where the homeowners were out of the country.
Police say officers were confronted by a man of mixed descent, who was armed with an apparent firearm,
They discharged their weapons in keeping with the Use of Force Policy, with the suspect later succumbing to his injuries at the Chaguanas Health Facility.
Commissioner Guevarro praised the officers’ response, saying the TTPS will act decisively and lawfully to protect communities from violent crime.
