Demerara Distillers Limited has launched a limited-edition rum to commemorate Guyana’s 60th Independence Anniversary.
It is called the El Dorado Grand Special Reserve.
The launch took place today at the Rum Heritage Museum in East Bank Demerara.
Guyana’s Prime Minister Brigadier (Ret’d) Mark Phillips described the special release as a tribute to Guyana’s journey as an independent nation.
“El Dorado Grand Special Reserve is not just a limited-edition rum… It signifies sixty years of resilience, flavour, and pride,” he said.
The Prime Minister also praised the rum industry for its longstanding contribution to Guyana’s heritage, economy, and cultural identity.
