Government is pushing ahead with efforts to attract new investment into Trinidad and Tobagoโ€™s energy sector, holding high-level talks Monday with executives from state energy companies and U.S.-based energy giant Chevron.

Energy Minister Roodal Moonilal and Minister in the Ministry of Energy Ernesto Kesar met with officials from Heritage Petroleum Company Limited, Paria Fuel Trading Limited, Guaracara Refining Company Limited and Chevron Corporation at the Ministryโ€™s Waterfront headquarters.

According to the Ministry, discussions centred on infrastructure rehabilitation, supply and trading arrangements, and potential strategic partnerships. Chevron also indicated interest in expanding its commercial engagement in Trinidad and Tobago.

The meeting comes as Government seeks to revitalize the energy sector and strengthen collaboration between state enterprises and international investors.
