Former Public Utilities Minister Marvin Gonzales is challenging current Minister Barry Padarath to drink the discoloured water that continues to flow from taps in several areas across Trinidad.
The issue has been reported along the east-west corridor and parts of Central and south Trinidad.
In some cases, the discoloured supply has been continuous since Saturday.
Earlier this week, WASA said the issue followed the recent scheduled maintenance shutdown by Desalcott, but assured the water was safe for use.
This was also reportedly echoed in the Parliament by Public Utilities Minister Barry Padarath.
Mr Gonzales however insists this is not good enough.
103.1FM News has reached out to WASA for an update on the situation, however we are yet to receive an official response.
