The Ministry of Finance has postponed the start date for Gaming Tax payments to July 1, 2026.
In a media release, the Ministry said taxes accrued for the period April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2027, will now be payable from July 1, instead of the original April 1, 2026 deadline.
The adjustment gives gaming machine operators an additional three months before payments begin.
During the 2025/26 Budget presentation, the Ministry had announced a significant increase in the annual gaming machine tax, raising it from $6,000 to $25,000 per machine.
