Trinidad and Tobago’s Fatima College has captured first place in the International Reparation Debate Competition hosted by The University of the West Indies Centre for Reparation Research in Jamaica.
Thirty-six schools from across the Caribbean and the UK competed, with Fatima advancing to the finals after defeating a UK team.
In the championship round, Fatima defeated Clarendon College of Jamaica.
Team members Kennedy Valley, Adam Alves, and David Scotland also earned top individual awards, with Kennedy Valley named Overall Best Debater.
The High Commission has congratulated the students on their outstanding achievement.
