Energy Minister Dr Roodal Moonilal says T&T will hold virtual talks with Venezuelan officials later this week, to address concerns about the May 1st oil spill which affected Venezuela’s coastline.
In a WhatsApp update to 103.1FM News, Dr Moonilal outlined the next steps, noting that both countries continue discussions through the Foreign Affairs Ministry.
Speaking during last Friday’s Lower House sitting, Dr Moonilal maintained that the spill was “small” in scale and was quickly contained through established response protocols by the Energy Ministry and Heritage Petroleum.
