Councillor for Reform/Manahambre, Vashti Sookhoo, has passed away.
Her passing was confirmed in a social media post early this morning by Naparima MP, Dr Narendra Roopnarine, who described her as “dedicated servant of Trinidad and Tobago.”
Also paying tribute was the UNC, which says her death is a loss not only to the community, but to the wider party and those whose lives she touched through her service.
It also hailed Ms Sookhoo as a councillor who served her community with “dedication, kindness and an unwavering commitment to the people.”
