The Government has officially handed over a State lease for some twelve acres of land in Calcutta, Couva, to Chinmaya Mission Trinidad and Tobago.
Minister of Land and Legal Affairs Saddam Hosein says the move reflects Government’s commitment to supporting organisations that contribute to education, spirituality, and national development.
He praised the Chinmaya Mission for its work in shaping young people and promoting positive values through education and community programmes.
The lease will support the organisation’s ongoing work as it marks the 75th Anniversary of Chinmaya Mission Global and the 181st Anniversary of the arrival of East Indian Indentured Labourers to T&T. Â
