The Member of Parliament for Laventille East/Morvant has called for urgent changes to the country’s approach to crime following a shocking quadruple murder in Morvant on Sunday.
Christian Birchwood called for the more effective use of existing laws such as the Anti-Gang Act and firearm laws.
He said the authorities already have the tools required to act decisively and also questioned the continued reliance on the State of Emergency.
