Police are investigating the killing of 34-year-old farmer Richard Kamal Mohammed in Barrackpore.
Reports say he was shot around midday on Tuesday while standing near his vehicle along Manohar Trace, after being ambushed by a bicycle-riding gunman.
Mohammed, a father of two, later died at a health facility.
Investigators say the suspect is believed to be a Venezuelan national, and a manhunt is now underway.
