The body of seven-year-old Angelica Saydee Jogie has been returned to Trinidad, one week after she died in a jet ski incident in Tobago.

The Trinidad Express reported that her parents, Arnold and Salisha Jogie, and her older sister arrived at Piarco International Airport last night and accompanied the hearse to a funeral home in Penal.

Angelica, a Standard One student, died after being struck while bathing at Pigeon Point Heritage Park.

The operator of the jet ski remains in police custody as investigators prepare a file for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The family is now preparing for her funeral, scheduled for Saturday, as tributes and condolences continue nationwide.
