Businesswoman Star Sabga has been released from the Preventive Detention Order, under which she had been held since June 25th.
This development was confirmed during an Opposition media conference by her attorney, Senator Faris Al-Rawi.
Mr Al-Rawi declined to comment on the details of the case, saying he did not want to blur the lines between his role as a senior PNM official and his role as her attorney.
Ms Sabga was detained under the order during the current State of Emergency, amid allegations of a conspiracy to assassinate senior Government officials.
