A 7.8-magnitude earthquake has struck off the coast of Mindanao in the southern Philippines, killing at least 32 people.
BBC News reported that the quake hit on Monday morning, triggering tsunami alerts across the Philippines, Indonesia, Japan and Australia, which were later lifted.
Officials say more than 100 people have been injured, while around two dozen remain missing.
Authorities report widespread damage, including collapsed buildings and landslides, with rescue operations continuing across several provinces, as the national disaster agency works to verify casualty figures.
