A 42-year-old Brazil Village man has been sentenced to six years in jail after standing trial for sexually touching a 10-year-old minor.

Darryl Bahaw was charged following an investigation into the incident that reportedly occurred in the Central Division between September 15th and 16th 2023.

He was committed to stand trial at a Sufficiency Hearing on September 19th 2025, after a Master of the High Court found there was sufficient evidence to establish a Prima Facie case.

The sentence was handed down by Justice Nalini Singh after a Judge alone trial in September 2026.
