20-year-old Nicholas Ramlal, charged with murdering his mother and teenage sister, has been remanded into prison custody until February 22nd.
He appeared before Master Valene Guerra Abraham in the High Court yesterday but was not called upon to plead, as the charges were laid indictably.
He is charged with murdering 49-year-old doubles vendor Rosanna Ramlal and 17-year-old Alina Ramlal at their home on 7th Avenue, Malick, Barataria, on October 16th.
The women were found dead after a fire at their home.
Post-mortem examinations revealed both had sustained gunshot wounds to the head before the fire was started.
