25 wheelchairs have been distributed by the Ministry of the People, along with disaster relief assistance to four beneficiaries.
This was done by Minister Vandana Mohit on October 26th and 27th in Siparia, Cunupia, Freeport and Gasparillo.
10 wheelchairs and one disaster relief grant were distributed in Siparia and Cunupia on Monday, followed by 15 wheelchairs and three grants in Freeport and Gasparillo on Tuesday.
During this time, the Minister emphasized the importance of dignity, independence and inclusion, noting that wheelchairs can help persons participate more fully in everyday life.
She also underscored the Ministry’s responsibility to respond to disasters with timely assistance and compassion, supporting affected individuals and families as they work towards recovery.
