A Special Reserve Police Officer was granted $200,000 bail as she appeared before a Justice of the Peace charged with Forgery and Misbehaviour in Public Office.
WPC Lauren Thomas is now set to appear before the Port of Spain North Criminal Court on June 10th 2026.
On March 15th 2026, the Professional Standards Bureau received a report relating to a document bundle submitted to the Police Academy, to initiate the process to become a regular police officer.
Subsequent checks found that the CXC certificates were invalid.
WPC Thomas, who was last attached to the Northern Division -North, was charged with Uttering a Forged Document Contrary to Section 9 (1) of the Forgery Act Chapter 11:13 and Misbehaviour in Public Office Contrary to Common Law.
