Two new members have been appointed to the Council of the T&T Blind Welfare Association.
Instruments of appointment were presented today by Minister of the People, Vandana Mohit, to Natasha Ballah, representing the Ministry of Culture and Community Development and Nadine David-Figaro, representing the Local Government Ministry.
Their appointments complete the complement of Government appointees to the Council.
They have also been welcomed by TTBWA President Deonarine Raghoo, who said it was an important step in ensuring that the Council is now fully constituted.
According to the Ministry of the People, the appointment of Government representatives to the Council further strengthens governance, accountability and oversight in the interest of the organisation and the people it serves.
