A 16-year-old boy is one of two persons held following an attack on a 64-year-old retiree in San Juan.
Around 10am yesterday, the victim was on the compound of JR Tech TT, in the vicinity of Caribbean Glass Specialists Limited, when he was attacked by three male suspects.
The suspects attempted to steal a gold chain from around his neck, but were thwarted by nearby workers who quickly intervened.
Officers of the Port of Spain Capital City Patrol Unit also responded and apprehended the two suspects along the Priority Bus Route in San Juan.
The teenager and the other suspect, a 20-year-old, are both from Sea Lots.
A third suspect remains at large and is described as a man of African descent, slim built, about 5 feet 6 inches tall, and brown in complexion.
The victim sustained injuries during the incident and has since received medical attention.
