Nearly $120,000 in SEED Grants have been distributed by the Ministry of the People to eight recipients across the San Fernando, Princes Town and Mayaro/Rio Claro regions.
This distribution took place on Saturday and are aimed at providing support to establish, strengthen and expand small businesses.
Minister Vandana Mohit visited the recipients at their places of business which included beauty/hair services, graphic design/apparel, construction, electrical services, food preparation/catering, agriculture and tent rentals/event services.
The Ministry says the outreach forms part of its continued efforts to connect citizens with opportunities that can strengthen economic resilience, support income generation and foster greater economic independence.
